What is the essence of vision?

It is having eyes to see.

There are millions across the globe who cry silent cries into the darkness around them. Can anyone see me? Some hide under trash heaps in Mozambique, some hide behind titles and position in the West. But all are crying to be seen, to be valued, to be loved. Who will pay the price to see?

Walking along the coast of Pemba, Mozambique in 2006, God began to speak to me about His desire to launch a movement of transformational love that connects heaven with earth.

What would that look like? What would this unformed dream of His heart look like in a company of people who He was so real to, no circumstance could stop them from being the face of His love expressed in the earth?

Creation daily painted answers to these questions on a sunset canvas before my eyes. In SE Africa, there is a unique tree called a baobab tree. It is commonly called an "Upside Down Tree." because it looks like its trunk is thrust upside down into the ground with its roots suspended in the air.

God spoke to my heart about a tribe of people who lived from heaven to earth, whose roots were planted in heaven and who had the fruit of His love in their lives. His Kingdom is an upside down reality where love calls us to go to the lowest and the least, the unseen and the unlikely. To live in Love is to enter into an upside-down, inside-out dynamic where the last are first, the overlooked are honored, the unlovely embraced. Perspectives are changed, assumptions shattered, impossibilities transformed and nations touched from the inside out by a love without limit.

This limitless love releases a supernatural realm of creativity, miracles, healing, revelation flooded with heaven's economy and resources. Love that is stronger than death has power to transform the whole person and the whole community. There is no force stronger than Love. It is the essence of Who God is. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in him. (1 Jn 4:16)

We want to have our roots planted deeply in the reality of God's heart, yielding the fruit of His Spirit in and through our lives on the earth. What is the reality of heaven? There is no sickness, no drought, no famine, no injustice, no war, no despair in heaven. Jesus prayed for God's Kingdom to come and His will be done ON EARTH as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:11). We want to partner with Him in seeing His prayer become the answer we live every day as we learn to see with His eyes and love with His heart.
